One of a Kind Gourd. This tall and striking gourd stands approximately 20" tall. The face is sculpted on a smaller gourd and attached to a club gourd. The hair is made of Fleece, braided and tied with a leather cord and a feather is on the braid. The necklace and earrings are made of Turquoise and Shell Heishe and strung on silver wire. The Rabbit skin jacket is tied to the body with leather wrapped around the body and holds flowers and a strand of seeds. The body is pyro engraved and hand painted with blue sky and stars and brown earth tones and is securely fastened to a solid wood base. In her sculpted hand Mother Earth holds a walking staff wrapped with leather and feathers hang off the strands. Mother Earth represents the one who watches over the land and animals and protects them with her teachings.
