The thickness of this gourd was instrumental in the carving of the fish and waves of the water. The scales of the fish were hand carved along with the swirls of the water with the water area leather dyed in an blue green color. The entire surface was coated with Polyurethane for protection of time. I was inspired when spending time on my brothers house boat on Navajo lake in New Mexico and everyone was catching fish. The height is approximately 13" including the stem. SOLD to private collector.
