'Autumn Leaves' was created with a thick 'Cannon Ball gourd'. The leaves were carved individually and layered in a pattern around the the opening. The area below the leaves has been textured and lowered below the leaves. After all was carved the 'bowl' part of the gourd was stained with a 'Mahogany' leather dye and sealed. Each leaf is carved with a curve and brushed with a metallic powder of 'Copper' on one half and 'Gold' on the other half to create an fall look. The inside is scraped and painted black with a heavy sealant for protection, but can not be used for serving food. The overall measurement are approximately 9 to 10 inches across and sits well on its own. This has the look and feel of fall at it's finest and would be a wonderful addition to anyones home or office.
