Scholar-Hand carved Tagua Nut face of an ancient Scholar. The club gourd is used with two necks of gourds to create the sleeves of the wise teacher. The hands are carved from Boxwood with leather edging and added sleeves. The Scholar is carrying a book of copper and old pages of kowledge. With his tall walking stick, the scholar is willing to walk that long mile to you. The pine base is carves and stained with a path to travel. One look at the face and you can see this man has seen and traveled far. A special sculpture for any collector. Was showing at the Fallbrook Art Gallery in Fallbrook, CA.
